Facebook Multi-Camera Live Stream on MacBook Pro with OBS and Blackmagic

Follow me as I unbox and set up the system to perform a multi-camera (two cameras) Facebook live stream using MacBook Pro with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorders.

The setup includes:
– 2 Professional Video Cameras with HDMI output
– 2 HDMI cables
– 2 Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder
– 2 Thunderbolt cables
– 1 Apple MacBook Pro
– OBS Open Broadcaster Software
– Fiber broadband internet connection

There are three processes to set up:
– Setting the hardware, Blackmagic devices, and cameras

– Setting up Facebook Page Live Stream

  1. I’m trying to do same setup, but with MBP 2018: it does not have the older thunderbolt 2 ports, but only four of the new TB3 (USB-C) ports. Rather than using TB3 to TB2 adapter, I’m hoping there might be a newer/native solution, perhaps a newer BlackMagic (or other) mini recorder box for capturing video from HDMI camcorders? Please advise.
