Live Stream Better Using ATEM Mini Pro by Blackmagic Design

In April 2020, Blackmagic Design released the ATEM Mini Pro, a device that makes it easy to create professional multi-camera productions for live streaming to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Skype or Zoom!

The ATEM Mini Pro is the improved version of the ATEM Mini and includes all the features found in ATEM Mini, plus more!

Monitor Sources and Status with ATEM Mini Pro Multiview!

When doing larger live productions with multiple cameras, it’s very useful to see all your video sources at the same time on a single monitor.

The ATEM Mini Pro model includes a professional multiview that lets you see all 4 video inputs, plus preview and program on a single HDMI television or monitor!
Simply select M/V on the front panel video output control buttons to select multiview!
Each camera view includes tally indicators so you know when each source is on-air, and each view also has custom labels and audio meters.
You can also see the media player so you know what graphic is selected.
Plus multiview even includes status indicators for recording, streaming and the Fairlight audio mixer!

Live Stream via Ethernet on ATEM Mini Pro

The ATEM Mini Pro has a built-in hardware streaming engine for live streaming via Ethernet connection.

You can live stream to YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch in better quality.
No more dropped frames and complex stream settings on a computer.
Streaming status is displayed in the multiview display.

You will need the ATEM Software Control to input the stream server and key settings. That’s means an additional computer is still required.

Record Direct to USB Flash Disks with ATEM Mini Pro

The ATEM Mini Pro supports direct recording of your streaming data to USB flash disks!

You get very long recordings in the same H.264 video files with AAC audio that you streamed.
Supports multiple disks when used with a USB hub or Blackmagic MultiDock, so when a disk is full, the recording can continue to a second disk for non-stop recording.
Record settings and disk selection are set up in ATEM Software Control.
There’s a record status view in the built-in multiview display.
You can trigger recording on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K or the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K!

Control and Color Balance Your BMPCC!

You can remote control your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K models from ATEM Mini Pro via the HDMI connection.

Control the camera settings as well as the camera’s color corrector from ATEM Software Control.
Change ISO and tint, plus lens iris, focus, and zoom, so camera operators can focus on the shot!
There are two types of control interface, CCU layout for traditional tint color control and a DaVinci color corrector interface.

To Buy or Not to Buy the ATEM Mini Pro

I have the ATEM Mini, which is missing many features. I want a multiview preview display. I want a recording outside my computer. I want direct live streaming.

At double the price, it isn’t considered cheap anymore, but it has everything I want.
