In this Intermediate Capcut Edit Tutorial, I document how I make an object float in mid-air using the green screen / Chroma Key effect…
- First, hang your object on a green string.
- Place the green screen in the background.
- In this example, my GoPro is hanging in front of my green kitchen towel.
- Ensure good lighting and record the object spinning a few rounds.
- Open Capcut and start a New Project.
- Select the main video and tap on Add.
- Tap on Overlay and Add Overlay.
- Choose the green screen object and tap on Add.
- Add a rectangle mask to isolate the green background.
- Apply Chroma Key. Select the green and adjust the Intensity.
- Go to the beginning of the green screen clip. Add a keyframe.
- Resize and reposition the object.
- Move the timeline forward a few times to change the size and position.
