In this post, I’m going to show you how to use the Yololiv Instream, the industry’s first all-in-one multicam vertical live streaming studio. This device lets you stream high-quality video and audio from any camera to Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms without a computer or OBS. It’s super easy and fun to use, so let me show you how it works.

Connecting the Camera

First, you need to connect your camera to the Instream. You can use any camera that has an HDMI or USB output, such as a DSLR, mirrorless, camcorder, or even a webcam. The Instream has two HDMI inputs and one USB input, so you can connect up to three cameras at the same time and switch between them with a touch of the screen. You can also connect a microphone or an electric guitar to the audio inputs for better sound quality.

Connecting to the Internet

Next, you need to insert a SIM card or connect to WiFi or Ethernet to access the internet. The Instream has a built-in 4G LTE module that supports global standard SIM cards, so you can stream from anywhere with a cellular signal. You can also use WiFi or Ethernet if you have a stable network connection.

Going Live on Instagram

Once you’re connected, you need to launch the Instagram app on the Instream. The Instream runs on Android OS and has a 7-inch touch screen that lets you operate it like a smartphone. To start streaming on Instagram, just tap on the Plus icon on the top right corner of the app and select Live.

Now you’re ready to go live.

Adding Text and Graphics

You can also add graphic overlays such as logos, texts, and countdowns from the SD card slot. You can also use picture-in-picture mode to show two camera feeds at once or chroma key mode to replace the background with an image or video.

Interacting with Viewers

To interact with your audience, you can see their comments on the screen and reply to them with your voice or by typing on the keyboard. You can also invite another user to join your live stream.

Ending the Live Stream

When you’re done streaming, just tap on X button on the top right corner of the app and confirm. You can then see your live video analytics such as views, likes, comments, and shares. You can also choose to share your live video as a new Reel. The Instream has an internal battery that lasts for more than 3 hours of continuous streaming and recording.
