iMovie for Android Phones 2020

I use iMovie on my iPhone to edit videos on the go. What about my Samsung Galaxy S10? Which Android app is equivalent to iMovie?

I have tested several Android video editing apps and here are my favorite top three.

  1. Premiere Rush (US$9.99/m)
  2. PowerDirector (US$4/m)
  3. Kinemaster (US$4.99/m)

As you can see, they are all subscription-based.

They are also not perfect. One has a feature that the other doesn’t.

One thing for sure though, they have more features than iMovie.

Personally, I use Adobe Premiere Rush most often on my Samsung Galaxy S10.

Premiere Rush is free for me because I am subscribed to the desktop Adobe Premiere Pro.

I also paid for CyberLink PowerDirector app at a one-time fee before it became subscription-based.

Apple did a good job in giving iMovie away for free.

So, the next best thing to iMovie on the Android for free is… Quik…

I will demonstrate how to use Quik like a pro in another post… https://www.videolane.com/courses/
