Live Stream from Camera to Computer Using AJA U-TAP HDMI

Are you wondering how to live stream from your camera to your computer?

In this post, let’s explore the AJA U-TAP HDMI to USB Converter.

High-Quality Live Streaming

We all know someone who streams from the phone and someone who streams from the computer webcam.

Smartphone cameras and webcams are fine, but what if we want to stream at a higher quality from our camera.

By “camera”, I mean the ones we call DLSR, or mirrorless, or camcorders, aka professional video cameras.

You don’t need to be a professional or hire a professional to stream from your camera to Facebook or YouTube.

All you need is a converter to convert the HDMI signal from your camera to a USB signal for your computer.

AJA U-TAP HDMI

Introducing the AJA U-TAP HDMI.

They don’t call it a “converter”, but for us, that’s what it does.

Here are the top 3 reasons why I will use it.

  1. Compact and portable – Only 3 inches on the longest side, I can pack this together with my camera without an extra bag.
  2. USB Powered – It draws power from the USB port, so I don’t have to carry and set up a piece of extra equipment, the power adapter.
  3. No driver to install – I appreciate the convenience because I have used other converters that require software drivers to work.

I haven’t used the AJA U-TAP HDMI myself, but a 4.5-star review rating on Amazon means it is helping a lot of people.

Currently, I have 2 camera to computer converters from other brands that don’t play very well with various makes of cameras.

So, the AJA U-TAP HDMI is now on my shopping list.
