Mastering the Art of TikTok Live Streaming: A Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up a Multi-Camera Studio

I am going to show you the equipment setup of my multi-camera vertical TikTok Live streaming studio.

Hi, my name is Adrian. On my Tiktok Live, I mostly do product reviews on my desk and video editing demonstrations, and in order to showcase the best view possible, I decided to set up a studio with multiple cameras and accessories.

Streaming Device

In this setup, I use the Yololiv Instream, an all-in-one vertical live streaming studio that includes an encoder, video switcher, audio mixer, a video monitor, text and graphics generator, and a video recorder. The multi-view feature is what I like the most about it.

Main Camera

The first video source is the GoPro Hero7 Black. This camera is the main one that I use to show my face and the desktop in Superwide mode. To prevent overheating and automatic shutdown, I have removed the internal battery and lowered the resolution to 1080p 24fps. It’s powered by an external USB power supply. It’s connected via a micro HDMI to HDMI cable to the HDMI input 1 of the Yololiv Instream.

Close-up Camera

The second video source is the Logitech C920 USB Webcam. I use this camera to show close-up views of the products I am reviewing, as it can focus on nearby subjects less than 6 inches away. It is connected to the USB input on the Yololiv Instream.

Computer Display

In addition, sometimes I want to show my computer display, so I will use a USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect my computer to HDMI input 2 on the Yololiv Instream.

Audio Input

For the audio, I use the built-in microphone on the same Logitech C920 webcam. As it is always positioned close to my mouth, it provides good audio quality.

Accessories

I also want to show you my favorite live-streaming stand. It clamps onto the side of my table and holds my Yololiv Instream, my computer, ring light, and another webcam. On the other side, there is a scissor arm holding another ring light and the GoPro.

Internet

When it comes to connecting my Yololiv Instream to the internet, I have a few options. I can use a direct ethernet cable, connect to wifi, or even use a 4G data connection.

I prefer to connect via ethernet cable for the most stable connection.

It also allows me to set the streaming bit rate, but I usually leave it at the default.

One thing that’s great about the Yololiv Instream is its flexibility for streaming to different platforms. Not only can I use it for TikTok, but also for Instagram, Facebook, or Zoom, making it a versatile device for any VERTICAL live streaming needs.
