YouTube Removed My Video for Violating the “Harmful and Dangerous” Policy

I received a warning from YouTube. It says my video violated the harmful and dangerous policy. The content is automatically removed.

This doesn’t make sense, and it is clearly a bot’s mistake. The video is definitely not harmful and dangerous.

This is just the first warning, and if it happens again, my channel will get a strike, and I won’t be able to do things like upload, post, or live stream for 1 week.

I submitted the appeal.

My video is titled “How to Download and Install VideoPad for Free on a Mac… LEGALLY (2022)”

It’s a simple demonstration about downloading truly free software.

However, YouTube is accusing me of showing how to get unauthorized free access to software that normally requires payment.

I added a comment…
“I have been following the policies strictly. Please remove the strike warning and manually review the content carefully. This software is publicly made free on its own website. Revert to me for more questions. Thanks.”

The appeal is rejected.

Lesson learned: Never ever again will I show you how to download free software… Not even Capcut.

  1. Same thing happened to me I spent time making a video on how to get voice chat on Roblox the proper way using a phone number instead of id and they rejected the appeal and gave me a strike then I changed the title and added text saying this isn’t against the Yt policy in the video and they gave me another strike without warning or from rejected appeal just an instant strike
