Main Differences
Let’s compare 3 differentiating features. Size, Strength, and Speed.
Size
The reason for the existence of Smooth Q2 is the size. 3-axis smartphone gimbals are evolving and becoming smaller.
The Smooth Q2 is 204mm long while the Smooth 4 is 328mm long.
Now that it is smaller, I have no reason not to bring it for my travels.
Strength
The Q2 claims it can hold a phone up to 260 grams. That’s 50 grams more than the Smooth 4.
So it can hold the 196g Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ with 64 gram more for an Olloclip lens attachment.
Speed
The Q2 has a quick release system, so you don’t have to mount and rebalance the phone every time.
I can just leave the phone holder attached to the phone. Quickly release from the gimbal to reply to a message.
