Who makes MIRFAK Audio products?

  • Gudsen Technology, the same Chinese company that makes the professional Moza camera gimbal. The line of audio products is marketed under another website MIRFAK Audio.

When was the release date?

  • August 2021

Why was it created?

  • To solve the vlogger’s biggest external microphone problem.
  • A traditional shotgun mic picks up sounds from only one direction.
  • However, a vlogger talks to the camera in two directions, from the front and the back.

Where to buy it?

  • Check out the links below.

how much is it?

  • At the time of release, the price is $???

Before you rush out to buy one for yourself, let’s check out the features.

Features

  1. There are three selectable pickup directions, front/rear/ bi-directional, to meet the needs of different scenarios.
  2. The bi-directional mic can be used on a mobile phone or a camera.
  3. Each cardioid condenser microphone picks up audio signals best in its direction and lowers sounds from the sides.

Check out the detailed specifications below.

  • Transducer: Electret Condenser
  • Polar pattern: Cardioid
  • Frequency range: 20 Hz to 20 kHz

Sounds OK, but there is one thing I don’t like about shotgun mics.

Cons

If I were to speak far away from the mic, it won’t pick up my voice well.

I prefer to use wireless microphones for such situations, though it’s more expensive. Check out my wireless mic reviews below.

Anyway, having an external mic is better than having no mic at all.
