In this video, I review the Yolobox Pro USB-C Webcam Out and Audio Delay Adjustment features.
There is a new upgrade on my Yolobox Pro. It says “A new version of Yolobox Pro is available now.”
What’s new?
The installation took slightly over 5 minutes. It’s a firmware update version 1.3.0 and a software update version 1.4.0.
USB-C Webcam Out
USB-C Webcam Out is now available. That means when I connect the USB Type-C port on the Yolobox Pro into a computer, the computer now thinks that the Yolobox Pro is a webcam.
All we have to do is connect a USB cable, then go to settings, go to USB-C Out and toggle it on.
On the computer, we will see it as “UVC Camera”. It works on OBS streaming software. It works in Zoom Meetings. It works with Microsoft Teams, but over here you’ll notice the images are flipped.
That’s when we go back to the Yolobox Pro settings and tap on the arrow beside the USB-C Out setting. Inside we have two options, Default and Flip Horizontal. Tap on Flip Horizontal to flip the image.
“Please note that currently audio, overlays, and background images are not supported. We are so close!”
That means the audio is not going through. The overlays are not going through, and background images are not going through. I’m sure the people at Yololiv are working on it.
Audio Delay Adjustment
“Line In and Mic In audio volume is significantly improved and balanced.”
Okay, good to know, but the next new feature is more interesting… Audio Delay Adjustment.
Inside the audio mixer panel, there is now an audio delay adjustment for Mic In and Line In. We can adjust the delay up to 125 milliseconds. There are also audio delay adjustments for SD Card Video 1 and SD Card Video 2, but it looks like they can be delayed up to 1000 milliseconds.
